What we collect, why we collect it, and who else sees it.

Last updated 23 October 2026.

Who we are

Double Seam Coffee is run by Richard Craddock, a sole trader, trading as Double Seam Coffee, 7 Payton Street, Cofton Hackett, B45 8FN. We decide how your personal data is used, so under UK data protection law we are its controller.

For any question about your data, email hello@doubleseamcoffee.co.uk.

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Orders

Stripe runs our checkout. When you buy a lot, Stripe passes us the details you enter there, such as your name, email address and delivery address, and what you ordered. We use them to send your order and to answer questions about it. We never see your full card details.

We need these details to carry out our contract with you. UK tax law requires us to keep order records for 6 years.

Enquiries and messages

When you send the gifting quote form or the contact form, what you enter is emailed to our mailbox through Microsoft 365, with your email address as the reply-to. The form handler keeps no copy and no logs. Your IP address is used only to limit repeated sends over a few seconds. It isn’t included in the email.

We use your message to reply to you, and for a gifting enquiry, to prepare a quote. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in answering you. We delete enquiries and messages 2 years after our last contact.

Counting visits

We count visits so we can see which pages are useful. The counter runs through this site and passes the counts to Umami, an analytics service. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and builds no profile of you.

For each visit we record:

  • the page address, including anything after a “?”
  • the site that linked you here
  • your browser and device type
  • your screen size and browser language
  • your approximate country
  • clicks on “Buy this lot”, “Send enquiry” and “Send message”

Your IP address is used only to estimate your country. Umami doesn’t store it. We count visits because we have a legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is counted.

Running the site

Cloudflare hosts this site and protects it from attacks. To do that, it handles your IP address and the details of each request your browser makes. For the visit counter, Cloudflare also logs each request, including the page address, for up to 7 days. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure.

Who else sees your data

  • Stripe: payments and checkout.
  • Microsoft: our email, through Microsoft 365.
  • Cloudflare: hosting, security and the form handler.
  • Umami: visit counts.
  • A delivery company: we haven’t chosen one yet. When we do, we’ll give them your name and delivery address so they can deliver your order, and we’ll name them here.

We share data with anyone else only when the law requires it, for example with HMRC.

Some of these companies handle data outside the UK, including in the US. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards UK law approves, such as the UK–US data bridge or an international data transfer agreement.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. The checkout page belongs to Stripe and uses Stripe’s own cookies. Stripe’s privacy policy explains them.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your data
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • stop or limit how we use it
  • send it to you or to someone else in a format that can be reused

Email hello@doubleseamcoffee.co.uk. We’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve used your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
