Terms of sale
How ordering, delivery, returns and refunds work.
Last updated 23 October 2026.
Who you’re buying from
Richard Craddock, trading as Double Seam Coffee, 7 Payton Street, Cofton Hackett, B45 8FN. Email hello@doubleseamcoffee.co.uk.
We’re not VAT-registered, so our prices don’t include VAT.
Ordering and paying
Each lot’s page has a “Buy this lot” button. It opens a checkout run by Stripe, where you pay. The price is shown on the lot’s page and again at checkout, with delivery.
Stripe emails you a receipt when you’ve paid. That receipt confirms your order, and our contract with you starts then.
If we can’t send your order, for example because a lot has sold out, we’ll tell you and refund you in full.
Delivery
We deliver to UK addresses only. Delivery costs £2.95 per order and usually takes 3 days.
If there’s a delay, we’ll tell you. We’ll deliver within 30 days of your order unless we agree a different date with you. Your order is our responsibility until it’s delivered.
Changing your mind
You can cancel your order within 14 days of the day it arrives, without giving a reason. To cancel, email us or send us the form at the end of this page. You then have another 14 days to send the cans back.
- Opened cans can’t be returned. Each can is sealed for hygiene, and once it’s opened it can’t be resold. This doesn’t affect your rights if a can is faulty (see below).
- You pay the postage to return unopened cans.
- We refund what you paid within 14 days of receiving the cans back, or of you showing us you’ve sent them. If you return the whole order, we also refund the £2.95 delivery charge. Refunds go back to the card you paid with.
If something is wrong
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights that these terms can’t take away, whether a can is opened or not. Our coffee must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
If a can arrives damaged or isn’t right, email us. You can reject faulty goods for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, you’re entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund. We pay the cost of returning faulty goods.
Corporate gifting
Gifting orders are for businesses and are agreed by quote. The quote sets out the price, quantity, label, delivery and payment.
Gifting cans carry your own label, so they’re made to your order. They can’t be cancelled once we’ve started making them. The cancellation rights above are for consumers and don’t apply to business orders.
Our responsibility to you
We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or limits your legal rights as a consumer.
Complaints and the law
If you have a problem, email hello@doubleseamcoffee.co.uk and we’ll try to put it right.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your own courts.
